There are so many awesome Fall trends headed our way that I’ve been anxiously awaiting to try for myself and as we head in to Labor Day weekend it’s finally starting to feel like time. Time to pull the pants, boots and light jackets out of the back of our closets or swoop up the latest styles in stores and start strutting in to Autumn. In Southern California we’ll likely experience that fated “Indian Summer” until November hits, but that certainly doesn’t mean we can’t still dabble in a bit of Fall wear despite the ever present sun.
One of my favorite trends, regardless of what year/season it is, is the military trend and this Fall it seems to still be going strong. Olive/army green is one of my favorite colors to wear because it pairs so perfectly with high contrast colors like black, white, and red – the main colors you’ll find in my closet. The pants featured are part of my all time FAVORITE brand Calvin Rucker‘s new Fall 2015 collection and per usual stick to the brands rocker chic / casual couture form. I am a lover of drop crotch pants, buckles and light weight quality material so for me, these pants are everything.
It feels great being able to throw on a coat and a pair of boots right now. I’ve missed my blazers and booties but while it’s still warm it has been in my best interest to stick with my open toed ankle boots and some of my more light weight coats like the long menswear style blazer seen here. Menswear inspired garments are going to be huge again this season so a long light weight coat like this one is a great and easy trendy staple to add to your closet for future Fall looks.
Even as it starts to slightly cool we sure get to have a lot of fun and freedom with fashion in Los Angeles and for that I am totally grateful! Stay cool, stay stylish, and have a great holiday weekend!!!
