I dont know about you, but I am ready to celebrate, well, anything really, like it’s 2019. If you’re trying to do a thing for Valentine’s Day – or Galentine’s Day obviously – beyond chocolates, love notes, and flowers, get out on the town! There are so many great new restaurants opening up, and so many classics doing some really special things for V-day. Even if you’re anti Hallmark Holidays, I personally love any excuse to wine and dine on a Monday so here’s the rundown my friends!!!

My favorite rooftop in Los Angeles has re-opened with a new concept called Cabra -“a spirited rooftop restaurant atop the Hoxton Hotel, inspired by the vibrant flavours of Peruvian cusine by chef Stephanie Izard (chef of Girl & the Goat too!) I love that this is one of the more casual and relaxed rooftops in LA, and the food/cocktails are absolutely to die for. Perfect spot for a date night or girls night.

Grandmaster Recorders

Indulge in their $120 Valentine’s Day dinner in the main dining room before up to the scenic rooftop at Grandmaster Recorders. Take in epic views of the Hollywood sign while sipping on the smoky Midnight Vultures cocktail.

The Girl & the Goat

Honestly, you should use any excuse you can to eat at The Girl & the Goat. From Valentine’s Day to birthdays to Easter, just do yourself a favor and make a reservation ASAP.

Bacari Silverlake

From the twinkling string lights to the lush greenery, Bacari Silverlake screams romance. Start the night off with their La Brea Rose cocktail and the pear and brie pizza – you won’t be disappointed.

Between the innovative cocktail list and the modern American menu, Redbird in DTLA seriously has it all! Their Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu features some mouthwatering goodies like black truffle gnocchi and diver scallops for $148 per person.

Both of A.O.C.’s locations in Brentwood and West Hollywood offer a sleek and intimate dining experience. If you prefer to stay in, have their special $225 V-Day meal for two delivered straight to your door! Enjoy everything from hanger steak to potato gnocchi with maine lobster.

Lumière Brasserie

Celebrate romance with an authentic French meal at Century City’s Lumière Brasserie. Their chocolate mousse is seriously a work of art, so definitely save room for dessert.

This adorable Italian restaurant is a family-owned gem in Santa Monica. Experience love at first bite during a traditional Italian meal and their special strawberry and white chocolate Little Kiss cocktail.

Ysabel has some of the best cocktails and appetizers in West Hollywood. Reserve a table on their enchanting patio and enjoy a Lilly the Pink cocktail and some crispy sesame shrimp.

Cento Pasta Bar

This beloved pop-up has officially set up shop in the West Adams area of LA! Though they’re normally closed on Mondays, stop by on Valentine’s for a special four-course pasta-forward meal that is $125 per person.

Bari is one of Beverly Grove’s latest and greatest spots! Share a bottle of red wine over a candle-lit dinner as you admire the Italian-inspired stone archways.

Massilia offers an intimate dinner in a chic French setting. Definitely order the la française cocktail for a sweet start to the evening!

Inn of the Seventh Ray

Perhaps the most magical restaurant in Los Angeles, Inn of the Seventh Ray curates an idyllic setting with crystal chandeliers and hanging twinkle lights. Seriously, this restaurant looks straight out of a fairytale!

The award-winning cocktails and stylish setting have made Olivetta one of the most popular hot spots in WeHo. Snag a cozy booth and cheers to amore with their famous Dirty Bleu Martini and some grilled Spanish Octopus.

Geoffrey’s Malibu

Valentine’s Day at Geoffrey’s means picturesque views and high-end steak and seafood. Try to book a reservation at sunset for the ultimate dining backdrop as you chow down on their lavish three-course V-Day dinner for $130 per person.

Located in the legendary Hotel Figueroa, Sparrow puts a contemporary twist on coastal Italian cuisine. While their wine list is pretty top-notch, I highly recommend ordering their show-stopping Basilicata cocktail.

Water Grill

Since oysters are said to be the ultimate aphrodisiac, head over to Water Grill on Ocean Avenue for a special seafood dinner at sunset!

Good, Clean, Fun

Do some stellar people-watching from the fun and funky patio at this DTLA all-natural wine bar. Good, Clean, Fun’s ever-changing food menu always features some out-of-this-world pasta, so be sure to order at least one and ask for a recommended wine pairing.

LOAM is a planet-forward restaurant in DTLA’s historic Ace Hotel. Stop by for a hip V-day dinner or plan a full staycation and book a room upstairs in one of the hotel’s industrial, loft-style rooms.

Employees Only

Looking to celebrate the weekend before Valentine’s Day? Employees Only will be serving craft cocktails and holiday specials like truffled farm eggs and ratatouille on the 11th, 12th, and 13th.

Crudo E Nudo

Serving up some of the freshest fish available, this Santa Barbara-Esque eatery offers unique wine and seafood in the heart of Santa Monica. Pro-tip: Do yourself a favor and order at least two halibut crudo.
