I dont know about you, but all I want for Christmas this year is cute and comfy loungewear and that’s it. Since that whole “holiday outfit shopping” thing has gone out the window, why not use those funds on some fun and actually functional pieces instead, right? I have been admittedly been missing the mark a bit on the “matching” part when it comes to loungewear. But I’m thinking the holidays are the perfect excuse to finally set up my game. Aquarius Cocktail (AQC)
My favorite pieces of 2020 have all been from Aquarius Cocktail. And once I got my hands on some of the recent loungewear pieces they’ve been producing I officially peaked. Their sweats are made from a cotton that has been washed to a level of softness I never knew existed. I highly recommend getting the tie dye sweatpants AND the matching pink pullover sweatshirt. But at least treat yourself to one!

MATE the Label
Mate The Label has always been a solid go-to for ethically “made in LA” cotton basics. But their matching loungewear sets have always been some of my favorites. I just love all of the interesting colors these pieces come in. They’re the types of sets you’ll want multiples of! (Note they also offer extended sizes!)

Michael Stars
Does it get any more classic than Michael Stars? Michael Stars is the epitome of cotton basics. But did you know they’re an LA-based and LA made brand? (Love that!) I just got my hands on a few of their new loungewear pieces myself and LOVE love love them (featured pic above). My favorite thing to wear around the house right now (besides my famous Costco flannels) is my long Michael Stars cardigan; pair that with a matching top and bottom and its a whole “winter white” vibe!

Resa
Resa is one of my favorite brands in LA to shop for dresses but they’ve recently come up with a few different matching loungewear sets that are just to die for – I mean who’s not sold over a “ComfyAF” collection? Love that they made a short set as well as a set with long pants, but both silky numbers come in a few colors!

Sydne Summer is one of my favorite LA-based fellow bloggers to follow and as of this year, she launched her own collection of masks and loungewear! Her masks are hands down my favorite (seriously, I have three) and I am OBSESSED with her new loungewear pieces as well. Everything looks so cozy but she did a great job at making sure all of these pieces were functional. comfortable, and still chic as hell. I’ve got a few favorites:

Parachute
Parachute is definitely one of the “bigger” brands on this list but dammit if they don’t know how to define comfort! They make some of the most cozy robes, sippers, towels, comforters – the list goes on – so naturally they’ve made the perfect loungewear set that’s actually available for both men and women! This is one of the more lightweight lounge sets and has a bit of a vintage vibe to it with its “waffle” material.

Etre LA
One of my favorite brand discoveries of 2020 has been Etre LA who’s bread and butter is simple, basic, neutral, and of course chic loungewear. From tops, cardigans, shorts, joggers, to skirts, it’s easy to mix and match any of their super soft ribbed pieces. I am the proud owner of a full Etre LA look and love that I can just as easily lounge around my house in these pieces as I can go out for a meal or to run errands.

Strut This
Strut This is an LA based premium fitness fashion brand that makes some of the most fun activewear out there, so it’s a no brainer the same applies to their more cozy loungewear pieces! They have SUPER cute joggers but most of them have limited sizing options, click that hyperlinked text to check out your options though. The same seems to go for their SUPER cute sweatshirts, limited sizing left on most but still worth checking out! I get the impression they run small batches and offer new items/prints often, so I’d just keep checking back! Besides the loungewear stuff, their regular workout leggings are really comfortable and soft as well, so be sure to peruse that section too.

MASONgrey
“Made in Los Angeles for ladies who like to lounge” – SOLD! But in all seriousness, MASONgrey has some of the cutest and most cozy-looking loungewear out there. I love their array of prints and colors, love that they don’t just do sweatpants/loungepants and long sleeves, they also do robes (long and short), slips (long and short), PJs, and more. It’s hard to pick when you kinda want it all!

Belen
Belen is another one of my go-to “basics” brands that makes their minimal, comfy, and chic pieces right here in LA. They’ve got a few loungewear sets to choose from but I love the look of their more vintage looking sweat shorts that pair with a matching sweatshirt. They make regular sweatpants as well though and they keep everything classic by offering every piece in either black, white, or grey. Simple and yet effective.

Spirit Jersey
Spirit Jersey is an LA-based streetwear brand and they’ve just launched a whole men’s and women’s loungewear collection called “Love Letter to Los Angeles”. And I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t totally freaking out over every single piece. The collection is so fun, SO LA, and I personally can’t wait to get my hands on a few of these pieces myself!

Clare V. is LA’s queen of accessories featuring great prints and bold colors, and while the brand has dabbled a bit in apparel over the past few years I love that as of this year they’ve leaned into the loungewear trend and have made an entire collection of some of the most fun and unique comfy pieces out there. The prints alone have me wanting to put every piece in my cart, but no one is doing loungewear to the level of creativity that Clare V is. Just look at those sleeves!!

Raise your hand if you’re the proud owner of at least one pair of Beyond Yoga’s famous buttery soft leggings! I’m wearing one of my favorite pairs as we speak. And while the brand is mostly known for their yoga pants, they do in fact make a number of items dedicated to simply relaxing as well. I have a few of their basic tanks/tees and am totally into their recent collection of slip dresses and loungewear. They’re dabbling in the tie dye trend, which, I know we’re all here for. And they’re also doing a variety of cute matching short/top sets that come in some pretty pastel colors!

I, like most LA girls, have had a love affair with Fred Segal for as long as I can remember, but I have to be honest I didn’t know they had their own line! And what they make is SO good! They perfectly intertwine their iconic brand with pieces that truly feel like a love letter to LA, and their recent loungwear pieces are pretty damn on point. Need those sweatpants ASAP!

This is one of those brands that truly all the cool girls in LA are wearing, I’ve seen these chic sweats and comfies all over my Instagram and I have to say, it’s pretty tempting! There’s no denying that The Mayfair Group makes some pretty cute stuff! Love their bold color choices, positive printed messages, and their success in somehow managing to elevating sweats.
