Us poor LA girls might not get a crisp, leaves falling, hot drinks kind of Fall, but that surely does not stop any of us from keeping up with the seasons trends. Fall fashion is personally probably my favorite season for shopping, even by LA weather standards. I love boots, jackets, and sweaters – who doesn’t – but there are definitely a few items that seem to be trending amongst LA girls in particular. Here’s what you need to be wearing this Fall in LA ladies:
10 THINGS ALL LA “IT GIRLS” ARE WEARING THIS FALL
The Réalisation Par Naomi Skirt.
Realisation Par is a personal favorite brand of mine AND a lot of ladies in Los Angeles. This skirt in particular though is so crazy popular it sells out regularly – but usually gets restocked so fear not. I have so many friends who own this gorgeous versatile and trendy skirt, the recommendation I keep hearing is to size up so keep that in mind!
Snake Skin Booties.
Snake Skin seems to be best worn by way of shoes this season, and I’m here for it. I have been wearing this pair I bought from Zara more than I’ve been wearing my classic black booties. Snake skin is the new neutral!
Sézane. (Everything Sezane, but the sweaters especially.)
Sézane is a French brand beloved by a number of American based influencers, bloggers, and shoppers, and while they had their Pop Up shop at The Grove for a while, LA girls fell in love too – myself included. I have been seeing a number of these gorgeous, chic sweaters on the ‘gram lately – cannot wait to snag a couple myself!
Janessa Leone Felt Hats.
If there’s one thing all the cool girls wear, it’s Janessa Leone hats. I myself cant seem to stop collecting them – they really are stunning works of craftsmanship and design. They dont come cheap but they’re worth the investment, and this Fall everyone is going crazy for her recent collection with another “cool girl” LA brand, Anine Bing. I would have bought every single design in the collection if it hand’t sold out so quickly! So now we wait, because it’s worth it.
Blazers are always in style, no matter the year, no matter the season. But Fall 2018 calls for oversized blazers – preferably plaid. I am absolutely loving this trend – especially as an Angeleno. I love shopping for coats for Fall, but we cant really go heavier than a blazer in this weather so blazer life it is. Anine Bing has a few of my absolute favorite boyfriend style blazers right now, but there are tons out there – H&M, Topshop, Zara – for the taking.
Missoma London x Lucy Williams Jewelry Collection.
Stack your gold necklaces, all the girls are doing it. I am one of the several myself, and I cant say I’m mad about it! This collection really is SO good, I guarantee you’ve seen at least one of their necklaces on an LA influencer you follow, and the price point is totally fair. (Not too cheap, not too overpriced.) I have three necklaces I stack regularly, and have been stacking since the spring. This is one trend that transcends seasons, and this is definitely the brand/collection to invest in.
If there’s one thing I know about LA girls… it’s that we like our denim. Denim pants, skirts, shorts, jackets… you name it we love it – year round. If there’s one more thing I know about LA girls, it’s that we love and live in our Levis. There’s something truly “California” about the brand and no where represents that as well as LA. Whether they’re vintage, freshly made or thrifted, we’re here for it!
WHITE BOOTS ARE THE NEW BLACK BOOTS. And they are everywhere in LA right now – especially the more Western inclined styles. I absolutely love this pair of Aldo cowboy boots I just got, I am not kidding when I say they go with everything, and the best part: they’re comfortable.
Reformation High Slit Dresses.
Wearing a Reformation dress is a dead giveaway in detecting an LA girl. It’s a brand we are very proud to share a hometown with, and brand we are very proud to wear and represent. This Fall Reformation has a whole slew of high slit dresses and they’re hands down the “it” Fall dress style. High neck, high slit, long sleeves – perfect Fall fashion.
Vegan Leather Jackets.
Faux leather is the way to go these days in LA, and whether you’re actually a guy or gal, a trusty leather jacket is an absolute necessity in this town. I’ve built up a little collection myself, and now that it’s Fall we can really begin the hunt for the perfect styles and fits.
