SUMMER NIGHTS AT HOME WITH ADORADA WINES

Is there anything better than a warm summer night in Los Angeles? Pair that summer night with great company, delicious food, and of course wine and you’ve got a recipe for some fantastic memories – or a great Instagram moment at the very least. I do a lot of hosting at my house during the summer, and one of my absolute favorite regular nights my boyfriend and I host is “pizza and wine night”. We make pizzas in our pizza oven, pop open some great bottles of wine, and enjoy the evening accordingly. Because it has been so hot out lately, we’ve been dabbling a lot in white and rosé varietals – the most recent favorites being a few from Adorada Wines. Adorada wines are “inspired by the best of California’s earth, sea, and sky” and their Pinot Gris and Rosé are what summer dreams are made of.

Adorada Wines, for one, have this packaging and labeling thing nailed down. I am a total sucker for a gorgeous label, and let’s be honest – that wax on the bottle makes quite the statement. If you bring a bottle this pretty to any party and it almost wouldn’t even matter what it tasted like. Fortunately though, Adorada’s wines are great. Adorada specifically makes a Rosé they describe as “the essence of California captured in an intensely aromatic blend of wild rose and sweet pea with notes of lush strawberry and honeycomb”, as well as a Pinot Gris that is described as “the freshness of a coastal breeze bought to life through a vibrant blend of orange blossom and honeysuckle, with a touch of honeydew and lemon zest”. And both come at just $20 a bottle – the perfect price point for a party wine if you ask me.

At our most recent pizza and wine night with our best friends, we enjoyed sipping on the Rosé and the Pinot Grigio throughout the night and I have to say that both were great by themselves, but they were also great with food. These wines are both a touch sweet – just a touch! – and are actually GREAT with spicier foods. Think Thai spices, lettuce wraps with Siracha, fish dishes with a kick, and yes – even pizzas with spicy sausage or Calabrian chili’s as it turns out. MM!

It’s really no secret that wine is one of my absolute favorite things in life. Wine to me really is more than just an adult beverage. Wine can be one of life’s greatest connectors; it’s something that brings people together regardless of their background, nationality, age, and so forth. Plus frankly, life is too damn short to drink bad wine – especially when you’re on hosting duty. Adorada has been such a fun wine to have at our summer parties, I’m already looking forward to pouring my next glass.
