I have taken quite a bit away from all of the trends that hit New York Fashion week, and one of my absolute favorites for Fall is PASTELS. Key pieces in pastel tones are going to be such a fun trend to play around with, especially during these “transitional” months in Los Angeles – AKA basically just the continuation of summer. I love a good pop of color, and I’ve been having a lot of fun trying on colorful anchor pieces – like these high waisted, linen, wide leg trousers – and building outfits around them. Gold/yellow was such a huge trend this Summer, and I love this more muted pastel-y yellow as we head into that typical Californian Indian summer.
I’m the queen of high waisted trousers, and one of my favorite things to pair trousers with right now are crop tops and mules for a more casual yet well put together look. You could easily pair pants like these with slides or even ankle booties. Yellow can be hard to pair with but I love tan/neutrals with it, or even shades of blue or orange if you’re feeling crazy! Other pastel pieces I’m seeing and loving right now are pastel colored sweaters and blazers. I have a feeling this won’t be the last of pastels or yellow hues you’ll see from me this year! It’s easily been the color of 2017.
