Surf n Turf Sandwich from Seasalt Fish Grill

Try Seasalt’s Surf n’ Turf Sandwich | Santa Monica or DTLA

They had us at “Panko breaded Alaskan cod with bacon, Bibb lettuce, pickles, tomatoes and American cheese on a King’s Hawaiian bun.” It’s like a fresh, fancy, Filet-O-Fish but with bacon and cheese, and just better? Sandwiches will never be the same after you’ve experienced the beauty that is, Seasalt’s “Surf n’ Turf”. (Menu & More Info Here.)

Tickets run from $20-$100 each, proceeds go to a good cause “Stand Up to Cancer”, DJ’s will be a-spinning, artists with be a-artist-ing, and designers like Nicole Miller will be sending their latest collections down the runway. Two perfectly great groups at two perfectly great LA venues. It’s finally cooling off in LA this week so either enjoy the last of these outdoor shows and get weird at Massive Attack or put on your felt fedora and tap your pointy toe boots with rest of the show-goers at of (not Of) Montreal at the historic Mayan Theater. See A Free Screening of The Grand Budapest Hotel AND a Free Saint Motel Show. At the Same Time! | Santa Monica Pier

A free outdoor movie screening of (one of the best films of the year) The Grand Budapest Hotel and a free Saint Motel show right before that? On the Santa Monica Pier?? Front Porch Cinema couldn’t have made that more of a win-win if they tried. Unless of course there was free ice cream involved, but that could have been far too much fun and free to handle so thank god they’re keeping it simple. Still sounds like the best Friday night ever.  (More info/RSVP here.)
