BONUS POST | Chagoury Celebrates the Fashion of Cannes

Home / FASHION / BONUS POST | Chagoury Celebrates the Fashion of Cannes

Yesterday I had the pleasure of hanging out at the Chagoury boutique off Melrose with a few of my fellow fashion bloggers, editors, and stylists where we not only had the pleasure of meeting the incredible designer himself, Gilbert Chagoury, but we we’re also given the privilege of trying on and modeling any of the couture gowns in the shop. Yes… any. So what did I do? I went for the heaviest, most intricately beaded dress in the whole store: the 40 lb, gold medal Olympics status gown. Because I’m ambitious. I haven’t been that stressed the eff out yet so on top of the world in the beauty category since prom, but I’ll tell you, that dress gave me the kind of joy I’d imagine a wedding gown would – sheer excitement.

It’s hard to top trying on gorgeous couture gowns, but having the opportunity to “design” a dress was pretty freakin fun too; I’m no designer, but I was an art major – put scissors, fabric, glue, and color in front of my face and I may cry. If Gilbert finds me to be the amazing designer I’d like to think I am after my little creation yesterday, you may be seeing our Capsule Collection collaboration soon 😉 FINGERS CROSSED PEOPLE.

Check out some shots from yesterday below, it even looks like I could TOTES be in Cannes:
