ahhh… love is in the air. Just kidding not really, not in LA at least, but we are indeed quickly approaching that fated February 14 Hallmark holiday: Valentine’s Day. We can all agree it was all fun and games when we were 8 years old, convinced the opposite sex were contagious with cooties yet partaking in V-Day classroom superhero/Disney princess candy-gram exchanges freakin’ ruled. These days, we’re calorie counting, we feel a lot of feelings about the opposite sex, and Valentine’s Day is usually, single or not, kinda weird? The taken people go back and forth between “I don’t care about Valentine’s Day” and “I still better get something, or wtf?”. And the singles out there can’t decide if the whole thing is just one big fat “HAHA SINGLE PEOPLE! YOU’RE ALONE.” middle finger to the face or if it’s a Singles Awareness celebration where you embrace your independence? Whatever the hell it mean to you, make the most out of Valentine’s Day, and it should still be a day focused on fun – it falls on a Saturday this year, and I should hope you’re down for an excuse to eat chocolate, drink, and have a good time!
Need some suggestions? Great, that’s why I’m here.

Dudes. Flower Shopping Has Never Been Easier Thanks to bloomnation.com
Words can’t even describe how I feel about this company and this website, seriously, ordering flowers has never been easier and more rewarding. Bloom Nation‘s premise is to find you the perfect locally sourced flowers based on your whereabouts. They’ve partnered with local floral shops all over Los Angeles to help promote their businesses all the while make it incredibly easy for the consumer to get exactly what it is they want. At Bloom Nation you can order flowers based on bouquets you like, a specific type of flower *wink wink*, a shop, a budget, an occasion, a color, etc. It’s so simple it’s insane. I just got a gorgeous bouquet myself from The Bosky Dell, to say I am delighted would be an understatement – I’ve definitely discovered my favorite local florist.
Best part? I’ve teamed up with bloomnation.com to get you guys a discount code that is good through February 14 at 11:59 pm! Use the code ‘VDAYLA‘ and receive 10% off your purchase!

Alcohol Delivery At Your Service Thanks to Saucey
Care for some wine? Perhaps some champagne? Or some Whiskey? Maybe a cocktail kit. And a bartender for the evening. Great, Saucey has your romantic night in completely covered in the alcohol department, and it’s as simple as downloading the app to your phone, picking your poison(s), and waiting for its quick “directly to your door” delivery. Knowing Saucey, they’ll probably have something extra special to send out on the big day so be sure to stay in the loop on their Valentine’s Day plans via their Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram . And the greatest part about this gift? You both get to enjoy it – the gifts that keep on giving are always the best ones.
For Friends. Or Yourself.
CHOCOLATE. Compartes Chocolate to Be Specific.
“True Life I have an Addiction: Compartes.” Chocolate is good for you and everyone else you know so why not give the gift that never disappoints! Especially one that comes in beautiful packaging and happens to be hand crafted here in Los Angeles. Screw the Hershey’s, take your game to the next level, and if you don’t have anyone to buy for remember you’ve always got you to treat as well – there ain’t nothin’ wrong with a little “treat-yo-self” Valentine’s Day/Any Ol’ Day chocolate.
Everyone.
