Yes that’s right. A nail LOUNGE (no no, not salon or spa.. lounge), for men, has recently opened on Melrose in WeHo. Just when I thought I couldn’t be surprised anymore by certain kinds of creativity and uniqueness spewing out of Los Angeles they dun did got me again! Frankly, this whole ‘men only’ nail lounge thing is fucking amazing (and a smidge humorous), and therefore I feel it’s absolutely imperative some adventurous well-groomed male visit mr. and report back on the experience. I want to know details on what the $107 “Black Card Treatment” feels like and what us poor unfortunate females are totally missing out on.
By the sound and looks of it all, mr. appears quite enticing to the unassuming male eye: we’re talkin’ gorgeous, and I mean gorgeous, dark navy and black interior with an amazing gold leafed brick wall, a spot dedicated to little bit of pampering, classy yet manly pampering that is, and it’s filled with clever “modern manly” design elements like pedicure stations that replicate shoe shine stations, top hats turned light fixtures, and of course oversize leather chairs, flat screens, and a well stocked bar. Girls, I know we are all actually legitimately curious because this place is nicer than any nail salon we get to go to, but remember, unfortunately we are not invited to this party. The mr. kinda pampering treatment is for gentlemen only so gentlemen take advantage!
May the men of Los Angeles stop clipping their own nails into the toilet or in the shower and find salvation and relaxation at mr. nail lounge. Amen.
