CURRENT MOOD: STATEMENT STRIPES

I took a look at my Instagram feed this morning and realized that I might have a problem. I think I’m addicted to stripes? My entire vibe right now is stripes – unintentionally! Does anyone else feel like stripes – especially statement stripes – are having a real moment? Or is it just me. Could very well be just me going through a phase, but the striped items I’m currently scooping up are just out of this world incredible. Like these House of Harlow pants I bought on Revolve. Holy sh*t talk about the perfect pants. I might look a bit like a circus tent but I’ll tell you what, I’ve never gotten more compliments on a pair of pants in my life. I was worried I would only wear these a few times because they really are quite the statement but to my surprise I’ve already had to get them dry cleaned twice – I’ve had them for about three weeks.

The pants are sold out, FOR NOW, so don’t be discouraged. I’ve found that Revolve always re-stocks and House of Harlow usually sells out then comes back with more. How do I know this? Because I can’t seem to stop buying everything House of Harlow is putting out! It’s insane! Go see for yourself, at your own risk of course. The good news is though it feels like just about every brand out there is in on the statement stripe thing – even our favorites like Zara, H&M, and so on. Search “stripes” on any retail site and you’ll find something to a similar statement stripe effect.
