COACHELLA 2018: THE OUTFITS

COACHELLA 2018: THE OUTFITS

I absolutely LOVE festival fashion, but I will never go too far out of the realm from what I’d wear on vacation or even on a day to day basis. Sure there’s something to be said about upping your accessory game or wearing a bolder than usual look, but you wont ever catch me in glitter, a mesh top, out of control fringe, or cheeky shorts. Ya just wont. I love to dress for festivals with color, fun textures or prints, and eccentric accessories in mind. The goal is to try to stand out without looking kitchy or costumey. I saw a lot of really epic outfits this year – was loving the cowboy boots and metallic tops/skirts/dresses/kimonos – but if you were curious what I rocked each day, well here you have it!

DAY 1

Gotta love a maxi dress – optimal levels of comfort and air flow in 90 degree weather. I chose to wear my high top sneakers with it because, 1. they’re comfortable, and 2. I love that the dress cuts right at the ankle so you can really see the sneakers! I love to balance out really feminine looks with a little edge/”masculine” element. Added the hat to balance the white high tops and threw on these crazy fun earrings and the sunnies and there you have it! Day 1! (And yes totally took a private jet out to the festival thanks to Absolut, veeerrrry casual.)

DETAILS: DRESS // HAT // EARRINGS // SUNGLASSES – these are YSL knockoffs I’ll be honest! And I’ll be honest that they’re only $10.99! (REAL YSL’S HERE)

DAY 2

I’ve been obsessing over matching sets this year so I bought this little gingham number, paired it with more or less the same shoes/accessories, threw on a big gold Chanel chain – you know, because fashion – and there we have it. Functional, fun, festival-ish.

DAY 3

Surprise! I wore stripes and the color red! I never do that. This top was actually from another matching set I got, but something in me that morning said try it with the striped skirt I had and voila. This is probably my least “festival” type look but I kind of loved that it wasn’t overtly FESTIVAL. It was different and I was ok with that.
