THE 5 BEST EVENTS HAPPENING IN LA THIS SPRING

THE 5 BEST EVENTS HAPPENING IN LA THIS SPRING

Where there is sunshine there is music, beer, and delicious eats – or at least there should be. Los Angeles after what feels like weeks of thawing is finally a-bloom and ready to bring the party. There is no shortage of ways to have fun in the sun in LA, but if we had to narrow it down to the essentials this Spring, these are the events you need to keep on your radar:

THE 5 BEST EVENTS HAPPENING IN LA THIS SPRING

MLB FOOD FEST

30 MLB ballparks, 30 MLB team signature dishes – in one place, over one weekend. YEP – The MLB Food Fest is coming to Los Angeles on April 26-28 and will offer a rare opportunity to sample all the deliciously “dirty” dishes you know and love from your home stadium. The Dodgers will be representing with their Sisig Fries, but expect more mouth-watering treats than you can even imagine. YOU KNOW I’LL BE THERE. // TICKETS & INFO

JUST LIKE HEAVEN FESTIVAL

There’s a new festival in town folks! And it is truly calling to my nostalgic lovin’ 30-year-old heart. Just Like Heaven Fest‘s debut with commence on May 3rd and 4th featuring the same lineup both days. Artists like Phoenix (one of the top 3 best bands I’ve ever seen live), Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, MGMT, Beach House, Miike Snow, and so many more will be taking over the Queen Mary in Long Beach for 2 days of live music and fun. There’s nothing better than attending a festival‘s first go-around – trust me on that one! // TICKETS & INFO

BEACHLIFE FESTIVAL

ANOTHER new festival to consider this year is BeachLife Festival, going down May 3-5 in Redondo Beach – on the beach of course. If you’re into that “no shoes no shirt no problem” life, or just the beach life in general, this is going to be a serious highlight. I mean, I’m personally not terribly into sand, but I would seriously consider getting over myself for the sake of seeing Bob Weir, Slightly Stoopid, Grace Potter, Ziggy Marley, Brian Wilson (Beach Boys Brian Wilson), and Willie Nelson live. It’s gonna be totally chill brah!!! See you at the beach! (I just cringed writing that, but let’s just let me have that one.) // TICKETS & INFO

TASTE OF THE NATION

Is there anything better than the thought of eating and imbibing for a good cause? Not only is Taste of the Nation simply one of LA’s best foodie events, but it’s also founded on creating awareness and raising money to end childhood hunger via non-profit organization No Kid Hungry. This year’s Taste of the Nation event in Los Angeles will be going down on May 4th in Culver City from 1 – 4pm. Restaurant and Beverage participants include favorite like Gwen, Jitlada, Maude, Salazar, The Rose, Mcconnell’s Ice Cream, Tartine Bianco, Eagle Rock Brewery, Chamisal Vineyards, Buffalo Trace, and seriously so. many. more. // TICKETS & INFO

LA MAG BURGERS BOURBON & BEER

“Burgers, Bourbon, Beer” – say no more, really. BUT for good measure, it’s definitely worth noting that any LA Magazine event automatically gets my personal stamp of approval. Their events are always so well done, so well curated, and always run so incredibly smoothly! If there’s a foodie event ALWAYS worth checking out, it’s any one of LA Mag’s. This particular event, as you may have guessed, will feature three best b’s I know: burgers, bourbon, and beers in Los Angeles. Check back for updates on who will be in attendance but mark your calendar for May 15th, because you are my other favorite b-word. Busy. // TICKETS & INFO
