DON’T CALL ME BABY.

This here is my best “Summer you best not go away” look. And the entire look I’ll have you know was made possible by one of my absolute FAVORITE LA based brands, DSTLD. If you’re not familiar with DSTLD, they make the most incredible denim and basics for a fraction of competitive brands in stores. They create the product and sell directly to the consumer – thus cutting out the middle man, and thus making the goods more affordable. I became familiar with DSTLD right around when I started my own blog about 4 years ago, and every year they continue to impress me more and more. They’re always right on the pulse of trends and fashion, they keep it simple and structured, and they love the grey scale as much as I do. We’re two peas in a fashion pod DSTLD and I!

When I decide to go “casual Caroline” my uniform lately seems to be high waisted denim, high top converse, and some sort of tee or tank. I love this look for running around town and keeping it simple yet casual chic – and not to mention, it’s a look that will transition seamlessly into Fall and Winter! Just add a leather jacket and voila. The neck tie – as I disucssed in this past post – is probably a trend that will fade out with Summer for me, but for now I’m carrying it on for just a liiiiittle bit longer. I love that this particular bandana is a little bit rock n roll too, it makes me feel even more sassy than usual. Gotta love when an accessory has the power to give you attitude.

I am actually about to head out to the Sequoia National Forest this weekend… so “casual Caroline” is about to go all “adventure Caroline.” If you know me… you know my motto is, “I love not camping.” So, we’ll see how this all works out. I won’t be necessarily CAMPING, but I will be 75 minutes from civilization and I won’t have cell service. Pray for me. If I can access wifi… be sure to tune in to Instagram for what is sure to be plenty of entertainment. If I can’t… see you babes on Monday for a full report!
