I am VERY excited about all of the current trends for Fall, namely velvet or metallic everything. Both velvet and metallic pieces are such great ways to add some unusual flavor to your wardrobe and you don’t have to break the bank to get with the program! They’re both also incredibly versatile because you can implement them both minimally with accessories say, or you can take it all the way with jackets/skirts/dresses and so forth. I’ve been partial lately to velvet chokers, velvet tops, and especially metallic dresses like the one I’m wearing above from Zara – the best place I’ve found to shop both trends. In my opinion, velvet and metallics are great but trendy; there’s a chance you won’t be wearing some of these pieces for forever so I tend to shop for pieces like this at places where I won’t be terribly worried over the price tag. Don’t get me wrong, if you want to shop the top shelf stuff more power to ya! I’ve had my eye on a velvet suit from FRAME for quite some time but have yet to pull the trigger, but for the sake of adding a fun new little element to your closet, I like to keep it simple and affordable.
