THE BEST SHOE STYLES FOR FALL IN LOS ANGELES

Can we all agree that we have a little bit of a shoe problem? There is no such thing as too many shoes. Even when they’re over flowing out of the closet… still – not enough. For whatever reason, Fall is always my favorite season to shop for new shoes. I love getting a new pair of booties yearly, and then getting another pair, and then probably just one more pair. But this year, in honor of my partnership with Johnston & Murphy, I am proud to say I am branching out and embracing different styles for Fall! And actually loving the results!

So, backstory: I have partnered with the incredible, classic, and absolute quality brand Johnston & Murphy to host a really fun in store shopping event happening this Wednesday, October 4th at their Westfield Century City location. I have always loved Johnston & Murphy’s fun approaches to classic shoe silhouettes, and their Fall collection really is out of control amazing. So naturally when they called, I said, “you had me at shopping and shoes.” I picked my four favorite shoes from the recent collection, did a little shoot, and have been wearing them all ever since.

SUEDE BOOTIES

The obvious first choice was the suede bootie – if you don’t have a suede bootie, it’s time we fix that. I love a good pointed toe, a low heel for comfort (perfect to go from day to night), and when it comes to suede it’s more fun to experiment with unique colors. I opted for a grey/taupe, but these also come in a wine color that is absolutely to die for.

SLIP ONS

I dont think I’ll ever get sick of slip ons. Especially living in LA, slip ons are great to have on rotation all year round. I love that these slip ons in particular have a patent leather finish with a really subtle yet cute bronze colored accent – just spices things up a smidge, and that bronze color is just perfect for Fall. Leather in general is probably my favorite material for cooler weather, and if we cant wear leather jackets yet, might as well take it where we can and wear it on our feet!

COMBAT BOOTS

If there’s one style that I love, love, love for Fall, it’s actually a solid combat boot. And this combat boot is the combat boot of all combat boots. It has a really cool texture, they’re incredible quality, and they’re just crazy comfortable. I love combat boots with dresses or shorts – mixing feminine pieces with more edgy and masculine pieces is my style! These are great boots to have for the days you want to dress like it’s Fall, but really it’s 87 degrees out.

(These aren’t out YET but they might be available in store at the event, stay tuned!)

LEATHER SNEAKERS

Another favorite Fall trend of mine are just fun and “different” sneakers! If there’s one area Johnston & Murphy really excels in, it’s cute sneakers – for every season. I cant say I’ve ever seen a leather sneaker, with velvet laces mind you, and I just about die over these.
