SUMMER IN LA PART DEUX

Happy official first day of Fall! AKA – “Summer in LA part II”, as most of us Angelenos fondly refer to it as. I say that, but remember when it rained yesterday? I never believe my iPhone when it shows showers in LA… but this time it was real! Naturally we’re back to sunshine and blue skies today, so mini skirts and crop tops are back in rotation. In the spirit of the transition from Summer clothes to Fall clothes, I’ve been throwing on some looks that are not only appropriate for the weather, but are also appropriate for current Fall trends.

Statement blouses aren’t going anywhere this season and I’ve been investing in those that especially work for Fall. This particular blouse is one that I found in The Who What Wear collection for Target, and not only is it totally on trend, it’s totally affordable. Because this blouse is a bit on the “loud and proud” side, I love to pair it with a casual bottom like a pair of high waisted jeans or in this case a cute denim mini. I am having a serious love affair with sneakers right now, and this pair of Nike Cortez are going to be the perfect closed toed casual shoe this season – truth be told though, they’re great for every season.

I’ll be spending the weekend going to Dodger games, going to the gym, and deciding on which Fall dessert recipes I want to attempt. If you’ve got one you love send it my way! Have a great weekend friends!
