PROPEL CO:LABS FITNESS FESTIVAL

I feel honored, and actually proud to say that I attended the FIRST EVER fitness festival hosted by Propel Water this past weekend in Los Angeles! Co:Labs Fitness Festival was a weekend created by Propel in hopes of bringing together the best of the fitness and musical entertainment worlds for two days of sweat and fun. Fitness lovers – including myself – had access to 25+ workouts over the weekend lead by some of LA’s most beloved studios as well as exclusive studios located in Miami, Denver, Chicago and NYC. Some classes were stand alone studio classes, some were collaborations between two different studios, and some classes were accompanied by live musicians including Big Boi, AlunaGeorge, Spencer Ludwig and Gabriel Garzon-Montana. BESIDES the countless opportunities to get your sweat and groove on, Co:Labs had plenty else to keep festival goers busy and entertained including a braid bar, a pop-up shop, DreamPops galore, restaurant pop-ups including Sweetgreen, Pico House, and Di Alba, PLUS of course all of the Propel water your heart desired.

I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect going into a “fitness festival,” but I was undoubtedly curious. I am a relatively active person – I train 4-5x per week at Equinox and SoulCycle, but I am incredibly partial to switching up my workouts by visiting different types of studios around town. So naturally I was pretty keen on the idea of being able to try a few new studios all in one place, all within one weekend. At the Co:Labs festival I was finally able to try a Speedplay class that was in collaboration with NYC based Tone House. I was also able to try a class called ModelFIT – a class I’d heard amazing things about as girls from the East and West coasts all rave about it. I lastly even got to try a class with Yoga For Bad People – which I selected for obvious reasons. Co:Labs definitely filled the weekend with all kinds of classes with varying levels of difficulty, everything ranging from meditation to boxing – you name it they had it.

The whole cost for the weekend was just $50 if you got tickets before August 4th, and only $75 for the weekend after that. They had single day passes for $30 advance/$50 after, but for all that’s included – parking, classes, Propel water, Dream Pops, braids, etc. – I can’t believe how affordable the whole experience actually was. I love that Propel completely and successfully managed to create a not only one-of-a-kind experience, but also create one that was accessible, dynamic, and inclusive. And not to mention *totally freaking fun*. The actual best part though? All of the ticket proceeds went to the nonprofit Girls on the Run!

I had an absolute blast this weekend at the Co:Labs fitness festival and genuinely can’t wait for the next one! When it comes back to town… #LetsGetUgly.
