If you’re up on the ol’ Instagrams… you may have seen that I paid a little visit to the Antelope Valley Poppy Reserve yesterday! You may also already have been aware that Southern California has found itself in the midst of a “Super Bloom”, and it really is absolutely incredible. I won’t go too much into detail YET, we’ll save the full rundown in a dedicated post next week, but let’s be honest I absolutely could not wait to share at least some of the photos.
I chose to go with a simple/springy/neutral look so as not to overshadow the poppies (HA! as if it were possible), but my favorite thing about this whole look has to be my new Janessa Leona hat. This thing is bad. ass. This season Janessa Leone came up with a line of “packable straw” hats, and this is one of them! Meaning you can fold this bad boy up in your bag/backpack, and it will pop out to its original form like nothing. I also love that the price point on the packable straw is lower than her other hats too – they run about $200 instead of $300 which is a bonus. I’ll definitely be taking this thing with me to Coachella next week, but in the meantime stay tuned next week for a full recap on the poppy fields!!!
