5 THINGS TO LOVE ABOUT CRATEFUL LA

Love and Loathing LA Crateful

I feel like meal delivery services are popping up all over the place in Los Angeles, each with their own special niche and clientele. And naturally, being the adventurous, non-cooking, food lover that I am I have tried a few of them! None of which however resembled what I’ve come to appreciate from the likes of a certain local meal delivery service called Crateful. Crateful is a self proclaimed “Michelin Star Chef Prepared, meal delivery service” based right here in the city of Angels. If you’re familiar with any delivery services, you probably found that a lot of them cater to meals that can be enjoyed cold (i.e. salads, juices, etc.). But Crateful is really testing a theory based on the same premise… just with a larger array of more exciting ingredients (some of which are meant to create hot dishes). I was fortunate enough to give Crateful a trial run recently, and here’s what I’ve come to love from this special experience:

1. You can select meals from FOUR different plans!

I love that Crateful, unlike most meal delivery services, offers four different types of menus to choose from: Chef, Fit, Vegetarian, and Paleo – normally it’s one or the other! Crateful give you a lot of control over how you’d like to eat, all you have to do is sit back, relax, and wait for your meals to surprise you.

2. You can select a calorie range AND dietary restrictions

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I love how much control Crateful allows you to have over your meal plan. Crateful goes even beyond what type of meals you’d prefer and throws in an option for calorie intake AND most importantly consideration for any dietary restrictions. These components are part of your profile and will never be missed.

3. Crateful LA is almost entirely organic, and they have over 42 different meals per menu

It’s really tough to make meals in bulk like this and remain almost entirely organic, so I love that it’s something the Crateful team takes very very seriously. Eating organic ingredients is important to so many of us, and it’s refreshing to know that Crateful really wants to take care of their customers in that sense. Outside of the quality ingredients, Crateful also makes sure there is a maximum level of variety and offers 42 different types of meals per plan! These are real life legitimate chefs creating these meals, the goal is definitely to keep people around and avoid any boredom. Having 42 types of meals certainly helps.

4. You can schedule your deliveries/days up to a year out

Crateful offers meals 7 days per week, and are completely flexible on which days you’d like delivery. All you have to do is select how many days of meals you’d like to receive (5, 10, 20, 40) and you can schedule them whenever you please – up to a year out even. I always felt like there was a lot of rigidity in the delivery department with other meal delivery services, so I genuinely appreciate the extra level of flexibility when it comes to Crateful.

5. It’s convenient.

The whole point of a meal delivery service is convenience!!! And if you’ve got a crazy busy schedule with no time to meal prep, Crateful is a wonderful service to have at your disposal. ESPECIALLY if you are trying to stick to a certain diet.

My schedule is always far too all over the place to truly enjoy the benefits of a meal delivery service but I completely see their value and truly respect what companies like Crateful have set out to accomplish. Crateful really is unlike any meal delivery service I have tried yet and there really is a lot to love! Will I be ordering meals a ton? Probably not because I never really have had a need to, but for those of you looking for something like this to aid in making meals a bit more streamlined, this is the perfect locally based company to look into.
