Welp. And so my love affair with Reformation continues. What is it about this brand that makes a somewhat edgy minimalist like myself want to go all out feminine and dress in any pattern and color possible? Seriously, no other brand has this effect on me! It’s definitely not the price tag, I’ll tell you that much, it could have something to do with the fact that they’re a very green globally conscious brand trying to make a difference but really… they just make f*cking great dresses. Flattering f*cking dresses. I bought this one for a wedding actually, but I’ve found this is the wonderful thing about wrap/floral print dresses – they’re multi-purposeful. Wore it to the wedding and now I wear it out to run errands, or to brunch, or to where the hell ever because it can just as easily be dressed down as it can be up. And THAT is why I invested the money in an item like this. If you’re going to drop $250 on a dress to wear to a wedding, it might as well be one you’ll wear again! I don’t make that mistake anymore, so I constantly buy new Reformation dresses and thus have low bank account funds, but for some reason my twisted fashion obsessed brain is somehow totally ok with it. It’s an investment. You however do not have to buy a Reformation dress to achieve the ultimate look for Summer (and now almost Fall oh my goodness). Forever21 has TONS of floral wrap dress Ref knock-offs (like this adorable maxi for $28) and so does ASOS! It is worth noting though that Reformation is currently having their annual online SALE so if you’d ever considered buying something of theirs… now would be an excellent time.
