If there’s one thing trending with just about every article of clothing, it’s denim – denim shirts, denim jackets, high wasted denim shorts, and now of course denim skirts. I remember for a good solid moment a few years back when stepping out in a denim skirt would be unthinkable; “what is this 2001”? 2016 is bringing it back and apparently so am I. Can’t say I’m bringing fringed or pleated denim skirts (yet), but a simple and structured button down skirt I can totally get down with. The “button down skirt” trend in general is not going away this season, but I really love that this particular skirt is of a midi length – in a sea full of mini’s, I sometimes like to be a midi. The great thing about this cut/style is that you can just as easily dress it up as you can down. I’ve been wearing this a lot in a more casual capacity, but it’s not to say you couldn’t throw on a pair of nice heels and wear it to dinner! I love traveling with this skirt because it’s crazy comfortable, it’s a step up from jeans, and it’s not too short so I feel like I can wear it all day and not worry if I should change. This little classy number is sure to be one of my easy Summertime go-to’s.
