Attention to nail detail has become increasingly more trendy in LA and beyond over the past few years. Nail art has evolved from the occasional little flower on your big toe into full blown works of art on every single nail surface. I for one am savoring the moment nails are currently having. Since the age of probably around 10 or so, not a day has gone by since where my nails have not been painted. I love a good mani/pedi; some girls love facials, eyebrow waxes, etc., but having presentable and painted fingers and toes has always taken precedent in my beauty regimen.
As more colors come out and “nail technology” if you will begins to increase (i.e. gel nails), more and more girls get their nails done. Olive + June doesn’t necessarily reign as LA’s go-to, one-and-only, crazy intense nail art salon. Olive + June seems to me the more modern, classic, and perhaps slightly more understated one out of its other LA nail art counterparts such as Pampered Hands, ES Nails, or CT Nails #3 (such a good name). Olive + June however undoubtedly stands out amongst the rest for the simple fact that they are more or less the Goldielocks of nail salons in LA – not too fancy that you leave feeling gypped, but just fancy enough that you feel good about what you’re paying for.
