Yeessss… even though it’s still hot as hell in LA I’m ready for it to cool off a little dammit! A girl can dream. Or she can just wear said Fall clothes and sweat. Please refer to the above as Exhibit A. I’ll give the jacket some credit though, it is perfect for Fall in that it’s pretty light weight but it still does the trick and traps some heat. …Hm. Don’t know how I feel about that “trapping heat” bit but that is what they’re supposed to do, ANYWAY. I’m taking the whole distressed skinny denim thing all the way with me through Fall so deal with it you “toss your skinny jeans” people! No I will not? Don’t get me wrong though, I like where we’re heading with this loose fit business – makes for much happier brunches.

Funny thing about this particular pair of jeans is that they’re actually an old pair of mine that I’d been saving for years for some reason hoping someday I may eventually come to enjoy them again. Turns out I never would until I was pleasantly surprised with the results of one of my very few DIY projects where I “distressed” the jeans myself – I figured if I fucked em up I was no worse off, but if it worked, sweet? It’d be like having a new pair of jeans? Get on YouTube, search “how to distress jeans” and you’ll find that there’s pretty much only one way to do it, so, you’re safe no matter what you find. I think. (this video is a good one) Try recycling a pair of your own old jeans and see what happens!
